Henry Leon

Director of Operations

As Director of Operations at Salt + Light, Henry Leon plays a key role in supporting neighbors as they transition from being unhoused to housed. His work centers on accountability, connection, and guidance — offering structure, encouragement, and consistent support in a way that is both nurturing and respectful. Henry believes deeply that people matter, and that how we treat one another can make a lasting difference in someone’s journey.

Henry brings more than 14 years of experience working alongside individuals experiencing homelessness, beginning his career at a local nonprofit where he also navigated his own journey of healing and personal growth. Through those experiences, he developed a passion for helping people not just survive, but truly live with freedom, dignity, and purpose. His lived experience informs his leadership with humility, empathy, and a strong commitment to meeting people where they are.

In his role, Henry approaches each day with gratitude and groundedness. He values consistency, clear boundaries, and meaningful relationships — understanding that stability and trust are essential to lasting change. His passions and life experiences shape how he shows up for neighbors and colleagues alike, reminding him to stay humble and lead with integrity.

Outside of work, Henry values simplicity and peace. He prioritizes staying focused, maintaining healthy boundaries, and living a drama-free life — an approach that supports both his personal well-being and his ability to show up fully in his work.
